| A network support technician works in a number of ways to make a business work smooth and efficiently. Whether it is a small business or a large company, the necessity for a network technician is the same. Because a typical business is run through a network that allows different departments to communicate with one another, that network needs to be functioning properly at all times. This means that the network support technician has to be available at all times to make sure that nothing goes wrong. A network technician typically works at several different businesses and companies. This means that they will have to have knowledge of each particular business's network and how it works. Some businesses might even hire an in-house network technician that will handle all of the daily tasks in addition to any problems that arise. In general, larger businesses will be faced with more problems that require constant attention than a smaller business.
